What are your hours of operation?
Maplewood Preschool: 8:30am – 2:30pm Monday – Friday
Maplewood After Care: 2:30pm – 6:00pm Monday – Friday
South Orange: 7:00am – 6:00pm Monday – Friday
What ages do you accept children?
Maplewood Preschool: 3 years to 5 years old
South Orange: 18 Months to 5 years old
Do you accept part-time students or drop-ins?
South Orange Only: We have a 3-day part time care for our families who need it.
What is your tuition rate?
Maplewood Only: Preschool provided by the South Orange and Maplewood School District Board of Education.
Maplewood Aftercare: We would be happy to discuss the rates for our services, please request this information when you contact us via email.
South Orange Only: We would be happy to discuss the rates for our services, please request this information when you contact us via email.
Do you accept Programs for Parents or 4C's?
Yes, we accept Programs for Parents and 4C’s, but the family is responsible for the difference in their subsidy amount and our childcare cost.
Do you have a curriculum?
Yes, we use Tools of the Mind.
Do the children have outdoor play?
Yes, we have a playground as part of our facility and the children get to utilize it twice per day.
Do you have a parking lot?
Maplewood only.
Do you provide meals?
We have the New Jersey Department of Agriculture Child and Adult Food Program. We provide healthy and nutritious meals for the children daily.

Grow NJ Kids
Lacey’s Petit Academy is a Grow NJ Kids participant. Grow NJ Kids is NJ’s quality rating and improvement system. It gives childcare and early learning programs the resources to assess and improve their programs and it provides parents with the information to evaluate the quality of programs to be able to make the best choice for their children.
Programs for Parents and 4C’s
Lacey’s Petit Academy is registered with both Programs for Parents and 4C’s. Both of these organizations are resource and referral agencies that provide funding to assist families in Essex County with the cost of childcare. To apply please contact these agencies directly.
